Designers to look out for Paris Fashion Week 2020

With Paris Fashion Week fast approaching, designers and curators are frantically preparing to impress the baying eyes of the fashion world. As always, much anticipation surrounds Paris Fashion Week- one of the four major fashion weeks in the world along with London, New York and Milan.

From the 25th September to the 30th September, creativity, innovation and haute couture take centre stage: but what designers should you be paying close attention to during this fall’s Paris Fashion Week?

Who? Jacquemus

When? September 25, 2017 @ 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Why? Simon Porte Jacquemus, born in 1990, is one of France’s most prodigiously talented young designers. Given the prestigious honour of opening this fall’s Paris Fashion Week, Jacquemus is in prime position to make an impression.

Who? Christian Dior

When? September 26, 2017 @ 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Why? Founded in 1946, Christian Dior is one of the world’s most renowned and revered fashion houses and has been a staple of Paris Fashion Week for decades. Offering ready to wear pieces, jewelry, footwear, perfumes and skincare products, Dior will be in the spotlight once again this fall.

Who? Kenzo

Who? Pascal Millet

Why? A Parisian designer who started his career as the first assistant at Balenciaga, Pascal Millet has established himself as one of the most talked about designers in Europe. Offering male and female lines, Millet specialises in ready to wear items that unite daring design with functionality.

Who? Nina Ricci

Why? Born in 1883, Nina  Ricci opened her haute couture house in 1932. Designing predominantly gowns, Ricci hand stitched all the garments that she sold. Ricci’s designs soon become known for their refined style, Guillaume Henry took over the house as Creative Director. Injecting a dose of excitement in the brand, Nina Ricci is once again one of the designers not to be missed during Fashion Week.

Who? Vivienne Westwood

When? September 30, 2017 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
