Celebrated every year on August 15, The Fête de’ Assumption brings pilgrims from around the world to celebrate the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The feast takes place at the Cathedral of Notre Dame, wherein the festival is celebrated with colorful processions and firework displays. A special grand procession takes place on foot through the Ile de la Cité during this celebration.
