I am here in London on a work trip and will be staying here for more than 3 months. I wished to know if there are any cheap places for rent in London?

I have done fair amount of brainstorming on this topic and I can safely conclude that Mill Hill, Beckenham, and Bromley are the cheapest places to rent in London.

Well, my list is a little different from the above. I think Norwood, Plumstead, Charlton, Totteridge, Sydenham, Catford are the best cheap places for renting in London.

The following areas top my list:
Belfast: the average rent rate here is£400 pm.
Portsmouth: has properties starting from£450 pm.
Southampton: has several cheap options that start from£500 pm.
Derby: too has fairly cheap options priced from the lowest @£200 pm to the highest @£500 pm.
Nottingham also has cheaper rent rates which range from as cheap as£350 to the highest one priced at £500.

Nottingham, Wolverhampton, and Hull are the affordable ones.
