Griffith is  a modern city with plenty of modern shopping facilities. Griffith Plaza and Griffith Central Shopping Centre are the places to go if you want everything within easy reach, as together they play host to numerous fashion retailers, homeware stores and electronics retailers. There are also plenty of independent retailers in the central area, including Griffith Health Food Shop, Cupid & Beau and the Reject Shop.

Attractions

Griffith has a diverse range of attractions, catering for all tastes. For those interested in history, there’s Griffith Pioneer Park Museum and Griffith War Memorial Museum, whilst those seeking more modern attractions can check out Griffith War Memorial Museum or Griffith City Cinemas. Alternatively, there’s also the famous Durif wineries, which offer visitor tours and tastings.

Transport

Griffith has an extensive public transport infrastructure, offered by TransLink. A combination of  light rail, bus and train services make it easy to reach all the major points of interest and fares can be paid for using the Go Card - the city’s contactless payment system. Griffith’s convenient layout also makes it a great place to explore either on foot or by bicycle - especially if you plan on exploring the wine regions nearby.

Local Business

Griffith has a robust economy, largely driven by agriculture, food services and wine. The region’s biggest employer, the Baiada Group is based locally, as well as other agricultural firms such as DB Group, Broidal and Agri-Labour Suppliers. There’s also plenty of wine farms operating locally, such as Casella Winery, De Bortoli Wines  and Calabria Wines.
