Our favourite authentic, East-End boozer is likely ‘The Grapes’ occupying its small but perfectly formed riverside location since 1583. ‘The Straight and Narrow’ piano bar makes a mean cocktail in unforgettable surroundings. The area is also home to a disproportionate number of small theatres and galleries.
