2 Bedroom Apartment at East 14 Street near Union Square

A very cool 2 bedroom apartment in the much-loved district of Union Square. The lovely long entrance hall really breaks up the space and once you’re into the heart of the home, it’s open and inviting and designed for sociable evenings and conviviality.

Hardwood floors and expertly applied finishes throughout set the tone for the rest of the property.

The kitchen dressed in wood, granite and chrome is a grown-up entertaining space with all mod-cons. Cooking will be effortless with the breakfast bar for extra work-top space and later, to dine. Continue through to the comfortable lounge area. Retro coffee table and wide screen TV make this the perfect slouching spot. Floor lamps and sumptuous throws add style throughout.

Both bedrooms are understated cool, each with a double bed and exposed brick walls. The elegant bathroom is chic and secure with a top quality suite. Tortoiseshell tiles and monochrome fixtures create a very pleasant wash room.

Area info

Declared ‘Union Square’ in the early 1800’s to mark the coming together of two of Manhattans busiest thoroughfares (at the time). Today a favourite among locals and visitors alike, home of a popular farmers market every Friday and get ready to witness the street chess hustlers whipping passers-by at speed chess, and charge them for the pleasure.

In this apartment you’re surrounded by respectful Gramercy Park, colourful East Village and artsy Chelsea.

Gramercy Park is a unique part of New York City, aspects of which have remained relatively untouched for over a century. Extremely safe and quiet; the region takes its name from the two acre rectangular private park at its heart. The park is accessible only to the inhabitants of the 60 lots that surround it. Gramercy Park was described by Charlotte Devree in the New York Times as “a Victorian Gentlemen that refuses to die”.

Be sure to visit Pete’s Tavern at Irving Place. It’s New York’s oldest saloon only surviving the prohibition era by disguising itself as a flower shop.

I have an awesome time in NYC and it was made even better by my stay at sanctuary guest suites. Its a very clean and calm environment in the midst of a bustling city. After a long day of running around the city it was so nice to come back and relax in such a nice place. I also want to thank the staff who were so professional and accommodating. I would recommend this a place to stay for anyone going to visit NYC.

We rented two apartments from 3rd to 15th July 2016 and were extremely satisfied. The apartments were very clean, with modern decor and they had all that we needed for our stay. Great value and very close to tube. Would definitely stay there again.
