This brilliantly designed apartment was very recently renovated from top to bottom. The quality textures and tasteful application makes it a truly enjoyable space to be in. You’ll have to remind yourself to get out and see the city.
The open-plan kitchen encourages a sociable, convivial lifestyle. It has a clever pass through with stools for two. Idealfor croissants and coffee first thing and a glass of wine or two after dark. The brand new suite, high-spec tiling and ceiling spotlights add to the fresh quality feel of the place. Through into the seriously spacious living and dining room you’ll find a great dining table for up to four guests and very cool L-shaped sofa which also opens into a double bed (for any unexpected sleepovers).
The generous bedroom is peaceful and smart with a double bed laden with sumptuous throws and cushions. Twin bedside cabinets and matching lamps reinforce the comfort and luxury. The brand new bathroom has a bathtub and indulgent monsoon shower head.
Straddling the borders of Gramercy Park and Kips Bay this is an enviably Central location in a neighbourhood that feels out of town.
Gramercy Park is a unique part of New York City, aspects of which have remained relatively untouched for over a century. Extremely safe and quiet; the region takes its name from the two acre rectangular private park at its heart. The park is accessible only to the inhabitants of the 60 lots that surround it. Gramercy Park was described by Charlotte Devree in the New York Times as “a Victorian Gentlemen that refuses to die”. Just a block away in any direction and you’re back to reality with lively bars and world class fine dining, so why not enjoy a stroll around this pretty and prim district.
Kips Bay is a low-key casual part of a town that is miraculously serene despite its proximity to bustling Midtown. Perhaps it’s the breeze from the East River, or the omnipresent peak of the Empire State Building; whatever it is, Kips Bay has a quiet confidence and a very warm welcome.
