Yorkville , New York

Enjoying a prime 1st floor spot in a beautiful archetypal brownstone walk-up building, this neat studio has the perfect proportions for efficient city living. Intentional space-saving design and furniture scaled appropriately make fantastic use of this outstanding location on the border of arty Upper East Side districts Carnegie Hill and Yorkville.

Bright white walls and rich tanned hardwood floors throughout, create a space that feels very well maintained but informal and relaxed. Enter into the dual bedroom/living room with a comfortable double bed, sofa and coffee table. Built-in closets offer plenty of storage.

The modern monochrome bathroom is perfectly practical and has a bathtub with showerhead. The kitchen and breakfast room has a table for two and all mod-cons. Between Carnegie Hill and Yorkville, just around the corner from Lexington and Madison Avenues you will not be short of aesthetic distractions or tasty creations. Upscale boutiques, celebrated eateries and enchanting galleries abound.

The Manhattan you see today has been hundreds of years in the making and with its explosion of popularity during the 20th Century, it’s no wonder that for its newly acquired residents; the only way was up! The tree-lined streets and high-rise brownstone apartment blocks are synonymous with New York City living.

From Yorkville you can catch the East Ferry and head across the river to Brooklyn or Queens in no time. At the far East end of your street you’ll find Carl Schurz Park, over-looking the East River and home to Gracie Mansion; the official home of the Mayor of New York, built in the Federal style in 1799.

As well as the celebrated Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, don’t miss The Frick Collection; just off of 5th Avenue hiding on 70th Street it is home to the works of the world’s greatest European artists. The fascinating Whitney Museum on 75th Street and Madison Avenue is a celebration of contemporary American art with a particular focus on living artists.

A very suitable apartment for a family. Beautiful interior and a nice view from the roof. Easy to reach by subway.

Great value for money! Those who are looking for a homestay in the heart of New York city, this studio apartment is the best choice. Fully-furnished and clean I must add! During our short visit to the city, we opted for a homestay over a hotel to avoid overpriced hotel rooms in this location. I must say we got a good deal!
