Description

Two guests can stay in this perfectly formed apartment in Paris's edgy and hip Marais neighbourhood. You will be at just a few steps from the City Hall, at the corner of the Rue de Rivoli, and in front of the famous BHV. Exquisitely patterned tilework and a real wood floor are the highlights of this stylish space. Kitchen facilities with a breakfast bar and a large double bedroom with an en suite bathroom will provide a comfortable launching pad from which to embark on an exploration of this delightful part of the city.
With its narrow, cobbled streets, Le Marais is one of the few areas that retains the pre-Revolutionary architecture of Paris as it was before the grand building projects of the 19th century gave rise to the wide boulevards and squares elsewhere in the city. Once the favoured neighbourhood of the aristocracy, beautiful buildings and labyrinthine lanes still remain that date back to medieval times. Le Marais is also home to Paris's Jewish Quarter.
Guests who appreciate art will find the area a treasure trove of galleries and museums, including the Musée Carnavalet, which tells the history of the city, and the Metiers Art Museum, worth a visit for its architecture alone, besides its fascinating exhibits of science and industrial design.
