To reach this Haussmannian apartment near the Champs-Elysées, you climb a wooden staircase typical of the most beautiful Parisian buildings and which smells of beeswax, covered as it should be with a carpet to muffle noise and offer, from the entrance, a cozy atmosphere.

This is a refined apartment, very tastefully decorated in gray and white tones for the background, with black and mauve accents. We find there, in discreet touches, the whole range of purples, from the pale mauve of the thick carpet with cherry branches, to the purple of the lampshades in the living room, passing by the carmine of the bench in the dining room. to eat. All the details have been thought out for maximum elegance.

The entrance to this Haussmann-style apartment near the Champs-Elysées faces a cupboard with sliding doors adorned with mirrors. On the right, there is access to the large living room, which includes a kitchen area, separated from the rest by a partition at mid-height; a dining area, with a corner bench, and a lounge area.

On the left, the shower room, and at the back, the double bedroom, facing east.

Placed under the sign of history, the back wall of the living room is decorated like an old-fashioned museum, loaded with small paintings which happily mix sizes, small medallions or large double pages, and shapes, squares, rectangles , circles. This skilfully studied jumble effect brings together multiple old engravings: old maps of France, period engravings that reproduce famous paintings, portraits of women. A Dutch peasant woman neighbors with Diane de Poitiers , favorite of King Henry II, and we find the Portrait with a Straw Hat by Élizabeth Vigée Le Brun , rendered in engraving.

In the middle of the beautiful carpet with cherry branches that evokes the Far East, a black travel trunk serves as a coffee table and spins the metaphor of travel.

A superb sideboard, white with a black top, with a black candelabrum, faces the kitchen. This is simple and practical, fully equipped and discreetly concealed by a partition, against which the corner bench is leaned. A sketch decorates it with simplicity, representing a street in Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur. At the end of the corridor, we reach the bedroom. On the wall at the head of the bed are stencilled elegant motifs of stylized Art Nouveau branches. We also find here fine touches of black which gives so much refinement to the living room: the patterns of the wallpaper, the fluted lamp bases, the pretty mirror with a black frame. After the cherry branches of the rug in the living room, the Far East is found here in the bedside tables and the Chinese-style chair.
