Getting around in Poole

As with most UK towns, Poole features an extensive and reliable public transport infrastructure. The bus service provides good access to every area of the town, its surrounding areas, and the nearby towns of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Weymouth. Most routes are covered by the PlusBus card, which is the cost effective way of paying travel fares if you are planning a longer stay. Further to the bus services, there are also several coach operators providing routes across the UK - including to major airports.

The train station is in an accessible central location and has several routes running through the rest of the UK, including direct lines to London, Weymouth and Southampton. Trains run into London approximately four times per hour, with a journey time of a little over two hours.

Of course, as a seaside town, Poole is also a great place to explore on foot, and the beachfront promenade is perfect for cycling along in the warmer months.
