Even larger than the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the 163 hectare reserve is made up of rainforest, flora and fauna – including some of the nation’s most significant plants. The nature reserve is home to Bukit Timah Hill – Singapore’s highest point. From the Shorea curtisii to the Malayan Colugo, the nature reserve grows at least 40% of the nations native flora, and the location of the reserve on the equatorial belt contributes to the flourishing of this diverse and beautiful ecological system.
