In this post, we will discuss some hands on and tangible issues: getting around in London, networking and meeting new people, and getting your things shipped to London.</p>

The TfL includes the underground (commonly known as the tube), overground, buses, DLR, tram and national rail and with everything operated under one company, the ticketing system is very logical once you familiarise yourself with it.</p>

<p>London is divided into 6 travel zones with zone 1 being the centre, zone 2 the outer centre and so forth. Using a London travel map, you can easily see which zone your station is in and how many zones you need to travel. Your ticket price depends on how many zones you travel, and you can see all up to date fares.</p>

<p>When travelling on the underground or other public transportation, it is advised to get an Oystercard. Oystercards can be bought at ticket offices and off licences, and can be topped up as desired. If you are using public transportation twice or more a day, it is advised to buy a weekly, monthly or annual travel card so you can travel at a cheaper fare within the zones you need to travel. For example, if you live in zone 3 and work in zone 1, you can get a monthly pass for zones 1-3 and travel freely anywhere within these zones. If you have a contactless credit or debit card, you can use this instead of a travel card at the same fare.</p>

<p>Please note that it is not possible to buy bus tickets on the bus and you must therefore have a valid Oystercard or contactless card to be able to travel with the bus. For all other TfL services, you can buy tickets at the station for only one journey if desired.</p>

Non-traditional real estate investments have increased from 4% to 11% over the last 10 years, and general investments options have increased globally. The recent oil price collapse has encouraged capital allocation to focus on income generating assets.</p>

<p>Suddenly, student housing has more appeal and is become a mainstream option, and ageing hospitality and healthcare buildings are opening up innumerable investment opportunities that the market hasn&rsquo;t seen before. <p>2015 is almost over and we&#39;ve had an exciting year here at thesqua.re, especially in the last 2 quarters of the year after we rebranded&nbsp;from House of MoLi to thesqua.re.</p>

<p>We want to wish you all a very merry christmas and a happy 2016 and thank you for the year that passed!</p>

<h3>What happened&nbsp;at thesqua.re in 2015?</h3>

<p>1. We increased our London portfolio considerably and entered some completely new areas in London such as <a href="https://www.thesqua.re/london/notting-hill/serviced-apartments">Notting Hill</a> and <a href="https://www.thesqua.re/london/nine-elms/serviced-apartments">Nine Elms</a>, <a href="https://www.thesqua.re/london/battersea/serviced-apartments">Battersea</a>.</p>

<p>2. We became the first UK Serviced Apartments provider to secure investment through crowdfunding.</p>

<p>3. Our <a href="https://www.thesqua.re/paris/serviced-apartments" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Paris</a> and <a href="https://www.thesqua.re/new-york/serviced-apartments" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">New York</a> networks grew - and will grow even more in the first quarter of&nbsp;2016.</p>

<p>4. We received the <a href="https://www.thesqua.re/blog/thesqua-re-wins-asap-industry-breakthrough-award" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Highly Commended &#39;Industry Breakthrough&#39; award</a> at the annual ASAP convention.</p>

<p>5. Our loyalty scheme was kicked off, giving all online bookers <a href="https://www.thesqua.re/squ.air-miles-reward-programme">loyalty points</a> that can be used as savings on future bookings.</p>

<p>6. Our tech, creative and marketing team grew significantly in London and India to constantly improve our tech offering and user experience.</p>

<p>7. <p>8. Probably the most important happening in 2015 - <a href="https://www.thesqua.re/blog/house-of-moli-is-rebranding-to-thesqua-re" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>we rebranded to thesqua.re</strong></a>.</p>

<p>9. We started hosting <a href="https://www.thesqua.re/about/events" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">community events</a> for our residents in London - something we will pick up even more in 2016.</p>
