Exquisitely located on the southwestern shore of Lake Como in a beautiful gated private park, Villa wasonce owned by the celebrated Swedish ballet dancer, Marie Taglioni, and have since welcomed esteemed guests including Bellini, Rossini and Franz Liszt. Now fully restored to their 19th century splendour, the villa can accommodate 14 guests in refined grandeur, or smaller groups when renting the individual villas.
This historical 18th century lakeshore mansion is located in a stunning position three miles from the charming old city Como – straight in front of the iconic Grand Hotel Villa d’Este – and accommodates up to 14 people in 7 luxuriously appointed bedrooms each with a marble bathrooms and dressing rooms. The service of a very high level will be provided by the professional staff. The public areas include a frescoed sitting room, a reading room, a music room, and a beautiful dining room leading out to a lake shore balcony. Seven acres of luxuriant gardens include a landscape pool, a panoramic terrace and the dock.
Villa offers wonderful walks in the park from where you can reach the Lake Shore Village with its charming square on the harbor, its seventeen century church, and the village garden with its lovely pergola. The overall property consists in two twin aristocratic side-by-side interconnected lakeside villas – dating back to the 18th century. Both have been completely renovated and personally refurnished by the owners and offer the very best of modern living combined with wonderful fine furniture of the family. They are securely located, down a quarter mile gated road guarded by a quaint old gate-house, in the midst of seven acres of luxuriant gardens and woods.
