Built in 1967, Kwun Lung Lau is one of the first housing estates of Hong Kong built in Kennedy Town to solve the problem of the rising housing crisis. There was a devastating landslide that happened in 1994 which caused casualties but as a result of that Hong Kong Government made strict regulations on slope safety and construction.
