City of London
City of London is founded by the Romans in AD50 based on the Roman town of Londinium. The city is home to some of the best attractions of Britain such as The Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral and Tower Bridge. Being exactly one square mile in area, City of London is also called as The Square Mile.
It is bordered by Tower Hill, Barbican and Liverpool Street and is just a short walk from the historic Southwark, Brick Lane, West End and South Bank.
How to get here?
From Stansted Airport, the Stansted Express train drops visitors at the Liverpool Street Station. From here, you can catch trains to other parts of UK.
Travel by tube, bus, taxi and train from Liverpool Street and reach Central London. Other train stations include London Blackfriars, City Thameslink, London Cannon Street and Moorgate.
