Spanning the River Thames between the City of London and Southwark, London Bridge in central London is full of attractions. London Bridge has a very long history. It was the only bridge over the river till 1729 where Putney Bridge was opened. The area around London Bridge bustles with hotels, bars and restaurants.
From London Bridge, it is a quick walk to the historic City of London or a pleasant stroll to the Bankside. London’s famous attraction Tower of London is also a short distance away.
London Bridge has admirable public transport links. The closest stations are London Bridge and Monument. Luton Airport and Gatwick airport are directly connected to the London Bridge station at the northern and southern end of the bridge. The Jubilee and Northern tube lines connect North, South, East and West London. The overground trains take you to stations like Waterloo East, CharingCross, Cannon Street and St Pancras International. There is also a wide selection of buses that take you anywhere in the city.
