1 Bedroom Apartment at 83th Street in Upper East Side

Description

Nestled in the heart of Upper East Side, this bohemian 1 bedroom studio sits on the 2nd floor of a typical Manhattan brown stone. Bright white walls throughout and rich tanned hardwood floors create a space that feels very well maintained but informal and unfussy.

The cosy living room has a sand coloured corner sofa which opens into a double bed and breakfast bar. In this apartment communal living comes as standard. The bedroom with two twin queen size beds comes directly off of the living room. The room has a tall chest of drawers and a large mirror.

Continue straight through to the impressively spacious kitchen. With dining for four and all mod cons, this is a great space to prepare a meal or enjoy breakfast together before a day of exploration.

The bathroom has a bathtub which you’ll be grateful for after a day on Fifth Avenue, with a shower head. A neat studio within walking distance to some of Manhattans iconic hotspots, while sitting peacefully on a quiet side street.

Area info

Manhattan is as serious about its art as it is about its brunch. Here in the Upper East Side you are in an incredible position to discover masterpieces old and new, many without even boarding the subway.

Neue Galerie based in a stunning 1914 mansion celebrates fine and decorative German and Austrian art of the 20th Century. The beautiful Gagosian Gallery displays contemporary art from a wealth of international resident artists and next door dine in fitting style at partner restaurant Kappo Masa presenting a contemporary take on Japanese ingredients. Candle 79 is a popular vegan option close by. Of course the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or colloquially “the Met”, is up on Fifth Avenue and maintains a broad permanent collection of ancient pieces from across the globe.

As well as the magnificent Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, we love the Frick Collection; just off of 5th Avenue hiding on 70th Street it is home to the works of the world’s greatest European artists. The patriotic Whitney Museum on 75th Street and Madison Avenue is a celebration of contemporary American art with a particular focus on living artists.
