In Jerusalem’s charming Baka neighborhood, the 2-bedroom Heletz apartment gives you peace and quiet in the heart of the city. Wander along the Park haMesila, an Ottoman-era train track transformed into a scenic promenade, until you reach the cafes and entertainment of the historic First Station. The entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem can be reached via a 35-minute walk or 20-minute bus ride. The local bus, right outside the apartment, will take you to all of Jerusalem’s most famous sites in under 20 minutes' time. This blue-splashed Mediterranean haven is a treat for the eyes, designed by our top local interior designer in Jerusalem. The spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen, and plush bedrooms will make you feel at home, and a decadent bathtub is a great way to relax. Premium amenities include a Nespresso machine, free WiFi, cable TV, high-end toiletries, and hotel beds and linens. A great spot to discover the city, this vacation apartment in Jerusalem will be fun for the whole family.

Area info

One of the most authentic and least touristy neighborhoods of the city, the quaint Baka neighborhood has undergone a growth spurt in recent years, largely thanks to the restoration of Jerusalem’s historical train station and the sprawling “railside” Park HaMesila. A 7-kilometer-long wooden promenade that runs from Baka to the southern edge of the German Colony, the park attracts predominantly local bikers, runners, and walkers. Although you won’t find spectacular nightlife here, this area is conveniently located not too far from the center of town. It’s full of beautifully restored buildings and fun parks for children, making it suitable for families or travelers seeking a more “local” experience. There are some spectacular homes, synagogues and historical monuments here, and it’s the perfect choice for tourists seeking quiet and tranquility not too far from the center. Many consider Jerusalem the holiest city on earth; as such, many religious Jews make their home here, and you should remember that many shops and markets are closed on Saturday in order to observe the Sabbath.
