We may be stating the obvious here, but it's known to get a little chilly up in the Alps. This is plainly great for ski conditions, but visitors really need somewhere cosy and warm to retreat to after being in the great outdoors here. That's where this apartment in the village of Morzine really delivers. Inside the building, there's a relaxation area shared only with two other homes, which offers a trio of hot tubs and a hammam that will heat up feet cold from the slopes. As well as that, there's also a gym, which is another way to get the blood pumping again. There's plenty to like about the apartment itself, too. Wooden walls and big windows looking out to mountainous vistas lend a rustic feel, but the minimalist white kitchen and equally glossy bathrooms are perhaps a lot more contemporary than you'd imagine after laying eyes on the building's chalet-esque exterior for the first time. Morzine itself isn't that large, which means that guests are only a short walk away from all the key necessities, from restaurants, bars and shops, to the all-important lifts up to the region's celebrated slopes.
