Staines-upon-Thames is a riverside town in Surrey, west of London. Often unfairly categorised as just another commuter town, Staines hides a multitude of attractions and activities and its proximity to both the M25 and Heathrow have made it an attractive place for business.

Thanks to its central location and extensive public transport coverage, getting around Staines is an extremely simple affair, with numerous options for the would-be traveller. The main bus station is close to the railway station, and has services running to the neighbouring towns of Windsor and Slough, as well as Thorpe Park and Royal Holloway College. There are also regular shuttle services available to Heathrow Airport.
The main railway station has up to ten services per hour into London Waterloo, with a journey time of around 40 minutes on the faster service. There are also regular services to Woking and Reading, which provide connection points to most of the UK.
Staines is also well served by taxis and private hire firms, which can be useful for traveling around at more unsociable hours or reaching more remote locations nearby.
