This impressive loft space was once known as a "trap house" as it was constructed as an architectural resource for builders of the 17th century at the owners' request of new builds to deceive the municipal authorities. Today, it's been converted into a fully renovated loft space with enough room for seven guests in total. Offering an unforgettable experience, the loft is laid out as a completely open space with free-flowing coherence and transition into each of the different living areas. Tall ceilings, brick walls, exposed wood and enormous industrial-sized windows present the home's quirky infrastructure with style. The towering wooden pillars of more than five metres high almost offer the impression of trees in a forest. We love the constant and harmonious use of natural materials of the wooden furnishings throughout. With a boho-chic demeanour, this home is brimming with character and personality – and one that much like the city of Madrid – doesn't follow patterns or have strict standards. Instead, its grace lies in a mixture of different aesthetics that lean towards a more natural approach to style. Designed around the central floor – the spacious living room, kitchen and dining room are located at different heights. Meaning each member of the group can be doing their own thing, while still remaining social as you'll never be too far away from everyone else in the group. And when you're ready to set off on exploring the city, you can't get much more central than this on-point location – as you'll be just an eight-minute stroll away from the copious shops and restaurants of Plaza Mayor as well as walking distance from Madrid's most iconic historic sights, museums and monuments.
