Places to Eat in Westminster

Amidst the typical high street chain restaurants, the City of Westminster is home to some of the most renowned restaurants and eateries in London.

Named after a small town in Italy, Ravello became the first sandwich bar in Westminster in 1982. Owned by two brothers, Ravello is still operated by the same family that started the sandwich bar. Ravello offers a range of sandwiches crafted from artisan breads, fresh products and authentic Italian ingredients.

In a stark contrast to its art deco exterior, Regency Café serves classic British dishes. Customers sit on plastic chairs at formica topped tables and are observed by pictures of footballers and pugilists of yesteryear. Regency Café offers British staples such as steak pie and chips, jacket potatoes, bread and butter pudding, roast dinners and, of course, the classic English fry up.

Staffed by students training at Westminster Kingsway College who are overseen by experienced chefs and maître d’s, The Vincent Rooms is sophisticated and beautifully appointed. This popular destination for business lunches serves modern European cuisine, with prices that are incongruous with the surrounding area.
