Tips for staying in Weybridge

Places to eat

For a small town, Weybridge really punches above its weight when it comes to places to eat. Lucien's Restaurant is a French fine dining experience that is very popular with locals, whilst El Meson De Los Hermanos serves tapas and Spanish cuisine in its rustic, tiled venue. For something with a little more spice, Hansa's Thai Kitchen serves traditional home-style thai dishes.

Shopping

Weybridge does not have any major shopping centres due to the town’s small size, so anyone wanting some serious retail therapy will probably want to head into nearby Woking. However the high street does have several general goods stores, such as a Robert Dyas, a Tesco and an M&S for groceries, as well as several charity stores.

Attractions

The Brooklands Museum - a motorsports venue hosting events, and offering exhibits and artifacts dedicated to aviation and motoring is right on Weybridge’s doorstep. Those visiting the town with family can also make the short trip to Thorpe Park - one of the UK’s best theme parks. There’s also Painshill Park, which is a stunning 18th century landscaped garden, complete with lake and several follies.

Transport

Weybridge is served by a single railway station that offers up to 6 trains per hour into London, with a journey time of as little as half an hour on faster routes. The town is also connected to both Woking, Guildford and Fleet by services in the other direction. There are also several bus routes operating in the area, linking Weybridge to Walton-on-Thames, Brooklands and Wisley, as well as more remote areas.

Local Business

Despite its diminutive size, Weybridge is home to several automotive firms - Mercedez world is just a few miles from the centre and incorporates operational offices, a testing track and a museum, whilst Mclaren also has an important base in the vicinity. US giant Proctor & Gamble also has a strong presence in the area, with its regional HQ based locally.
