Saket is an upmarket residential colony located in the South Delhi district, of Delhi. The neighbourhood is named after the city of Ayodhya, also known as Saket, an ancient, religiously significant city in Uttar Pradesh. Saket has four major malls on the Press Enclave Marg - a road that is named after the most recognisable enclave in Saket, Ibyat, where many journalists from media organisations around the country and the world live. There are two main shopping areas in Saket: PVR Anupam complex and J-Block Market. The PVR complex is ideal for those seeking familiar eateries such as McDonald's, Domino's, and Subway - whereas The J-Block market is relatively local and hosts an assortment of stores, Cafes and Bakeries. Saket is also home to the PVR Cinemas Anupam-4 Multiplex Theatre, which was the first multiplex in India. The nearby Select Citywalk mall also houses a newer 6-screen multiplex, and the adjacent place houses shops and restaurants like the popular Big Chill Cafe.
